As a user of the North Shore trails and backcountry I am very grateful there is a Search and Rescue organization just in case I ever get in trouble out there (and many people do).
You may be aware that Tim Jones the leader of North Shore SAR passed away on Seymour last weekend and its his memorial this weekend.
There is a memorial fund set up for him so I just wanted to share this link in case any of you also felt the inclination to make a donation to this amazing volunteer organisation. I will because one day it could be me they pluck off the mountain.
