Given that the province is burning in so many places right now, the high risk to trails and the porr air quality we are watching conditions closely and will aim to post any ride cancellations here on the forum and on our facebook page as early as we can.
In particular the conditions in Whistler are not good and we are monitoring the situation but at this time there is a high possibility of a cancellation.
Please check the forum on any ride day to see whether the ride will still go ahead.
We will aim to post a message by 4pm for any weeknight ride and by 6pm the night before a weekend ride.
Let's do the rain dance and hope our trails stay open.
I've been keeping an eye on the BC Air Quality readings on the governemt website. It rates air quality on a scale of 1-10 (1 being super awesome and 10 being extremly bad). At one point today, Whistler was rated at 33.... It's gone down a bit now (last I checked it was at 14), but still not looking good for this weekend.

Due to the poor Air Quality currently in Whistler and Vancouver combined with the forecast in Whistler this weekend and the Extreme Fire risk for the Trails we have decided that we must cancel the Thursday night ride this week and the Whistler Weekend Ride this Saturday July 11th.
Please continue to check the forum and the calendar on our website for updates regarding weeknight rides as we monitor the situation.

It looks like it's closed. Is this the same trails for our Sumas Mountain weekend ride coming up? Never been there.
May I suggest changing to Whistler instead if Sumas Mountain is closed. I had an awesome time riding alone that cancelled weekend.

Unfortunately, Sumas Mountain is closed and we cannot ride there. We were hoping to change the ride to Whistler, but Whistler is hosting the Ironman and the traffic will be a nightmare. We are heading to Squamish instead.
