Hey guys I recently attended the Trauma Rounds at VGH.  And was suprised to here that there has been quite a few major incidents where 2002 and older Marzocchi Suspension forks were the cuase of the major injuries suffered by the patients.  2 major head injuries since last fall in Whistler alone (not from riding in the bike park.. these were on Valley XC trails) There is a point where these forks no longer hold up to the trails that we throw at them and as much as they may very well have been the best available 5 years ago, they do break down and become a dangerous piece of equipment on your bike.

With the major injuries sustained from broken suspension forks it has come pretty clear that replacing an older fork is a good idea at what ever the cost.  For a couple hundred dollars you can upgrade your fork and lessen your chances of being in this target group.

I dont want this to scare anyone but lets face it the trails even for the XC group riders these days are full of more obsticals and places where you could easily damage your fork and never know it... until the next little step down or hard corner.

Just a little food for thought.
