We just received the official invoice for booking the Riding Fool Hostels. Turns out it's going to cost less than we thought, so we dropped the price to $150.00. Talked to Jeremy from the Hostel and there is another 5 km of trail that have been added to the trails around the Hostel and there is a new trail on Forbidden. Sign up soon, the people who predict the weather say the this Junuary weather is going to be going away and the summer is going to be a good one.
For those of you have not ridden around Cumberland here is a little description. Probably one of the coolest places I have ridden. Has the best of what MTB can offer. Kinda of like riding Sqaumish and Whistler mixed together. Lots of rock faces connected by flowy trails. For those that like to ride the stunts, can't beat a trail with a name like Bucket of blood. Trails around the Hostel require a pedal up, but the climb is not much harder than Fromme. Forbidden can be ridden up or shuttled.
If you are thinking of doing this weekend you should be a intermediate or close at this point of the season level rider. These aren't beginner level trails.
Thanks Sheldon
After talking to few who are coming on the trip, sounds like it would be very good idea to make a ferry reservation for Friday night sooner than later. Spots are now starting to go, probably has something to do with finally seeing that strange yellow thing in the sky, so I would get on it if you are thinking of going. Just incase it was not clear we have booked the entire Hostel, so only NSride members are going to be staying at the Hostel that weekend.
Thanks Sheldon
So if you have been thinking about the Cumberland trip and just haven't gotten around to booking, this is the time. There is still room. I need to make a decision as to weather or not I am going to let one of the dorm rooms go. The private rooms are now full. Believe it or not the dorm beds are very comfy. So let get booking! I will make my decision on Wednesday to weather or not I am going to let the 1 of the dorm rooms go.
Thanks Sheldon
