Hi

2 of the 3 private rooms are booked. I have one with Nancy. Perks of being the organizer and according to others I snore. Amy Roy and her partner have the other something about screaming in her sleep and mumbling kill all life or something like that. Ha HA . So here is the deal. There are 5 couples and one room left. I have enough people on this planet pissed off with me. In order to prevent more people being added to the list of Sheldon haters, I am going to put the 5 couples names in a hat, when we all arrive, we will draw a name. Winner decides who gets the room. That way the only thing you can be mad at is chance.

This is going to be a very low key function. As usual I will do my best to go in the right direction, but I won't promise that and neither does Euan. So if we do go the wrong way think of it as adventure. Neither Euan or myself are professional tour guides and are what you call volunteers. If you have a issue at some point, please remember that before you throw stones at us. There are very good maps available of the area at the hostel. I would buy one.

There are a couple of Mini Marts in Cumberland, but I wouldn't depend on them for your day time food. There is a pretty good coffee shack down the street. It really is a shack. Bring a camera, there are some great view points. There is also a booze store in town, I believe.

The Hostel has a bike room. I would bring a lock for inside the bike room. The Hostel is locked during the day, but you will be provided with a code to open the door.

Nancy and I are catching the 12:45 pm on Friday out of Tsawwassen to Duke Point in order to get some extra riding in on Friday, your welcome to join us.

We ride rain or shine so please come with clothing for all weather conditions. There is a bike shop below the Hostel, but please bring extra tubes and anything else you think you may need in order to keep your ride going. I also recommend that you get your bike tuned up be for you leave so that there are minimum equipment issues.

Thanks Sheldon

Hey Sheldon, Of course all the ride leaders deserve a  private room.  You guys deserve some perks for putting up with us.  ( But that  does not guarantee that you will avoid a stoning on the weekend)

So for the dorm beds, do you want is to grab any bed when we arrive, or do you have a  system.   eg Couples dorm/  boys dorm / girls dorm .

PS. Does anyone have room for me on the 6.55 or 7.30 from Horseshoe Bay if they have booking.   I can now get  Friday off with a shift swap, so if anyone has room for me...I think I am starting to sound hysterical on the forum....

I haven't given much thought to the dorms. There has been a request that there be a womens only dorm. Apparently men snore more than women and have other noisy bodily functions. I have no idea what they are talking about.  ;D, I see no problem in dividing up the dorms between gender and partner status. From what I understand there are 2 dorms that have 6 bunks and one with 12. So if this is the the over all wish, I am sure it can be accommodated. If you do throw stones aim for the helmet. I don't have the fastest reaction time.

If there are enough gals to fill a gals dorm, that would be  much appreciated.  It just makes getting dressed/ undressed easier.  And  everyone knows we NEVER pass wind, or snore, or sweat, and our armour smells of roses...........
