For those of you who are looking to get more out of your riding/training, I have tentatively booked up to 27 NSRide members for lactic acid testing with the Peak Centre ( http://www.peakcentre.ca/index.cfm ).
This results of this testing, along with a heart rate monitor, allow you to focus your training on specific heart rate zones in order to get the most out of your time spent in the saddle.
1. Tentative testing date: Sun, Feb 22, 2009. Tentative Q&A and results follow-up session: Sun, March 1, 2009.
2. Cost: Between $95 - 110. The depth of the discount depends on how many people sign up. (Reg rate = $135).
3. You must be a 2009 NSRide member to qualify for the group rate. No exceptions.
N.B. Please be aware that lactic acid testing involves blood testing. This involves simply pricking the end of your finger to draw a very small amount of blood. I did this last year & it's almost painless.

For the lactic acid testing, I currently have Fred, Kyle and myself. I don't interpret Ian P. as being serious.
