CYCLING BC - CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR THE BMX SUPERCROSS WORLD CUP FINALS & FESTIVAL

(August 1 2012 - Vancouver, BC) Cycling BC has been awarded the final event in the 2012 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup, to be held in Abbotsford BC on September 14 - 15, 2012.

We need to recruit volunteers to assist with the setup and operation of this major event from September 6 to 18, inclusive. Many different volunteer roles are available during this time, with varying time commitments.

Why get involved? For one thing, you will be part of a historic event; this is the first time a BMX Supercross World Cup event has been held in Canada. Also, you'll be involved in an event that will feature the best BMX racers in the world.

In addition to our undying gratitude, we also take good care of our volunteers. You'll receive a volunteer package, including a crew t-shirt and other goodies provided by our sponsors and suppliers. Also, for every shift that you work, you'll get a chance to win prizes in the volunteers-only draw held at our volunteer after-party. Also, volunteers receive a 20% discount on General Admission Spectator tickets for the event.

In return, we will provide you with the necessary training for your role, as well as lunch, drinks and a BMX event experience that you won't soon forget.

If you are interested in being part of this world-class event, please contact Nicole Rochefort via e-mail: nicole@cyclingbc.net or by telephone (604-737-3034).
