This Sunday, May 2nd, we are scheduled for Burke. We are leaving from the gun club at 10am (SHARP) (http://www.nsride.com/directions2010.html#burke), so make sure you are there earlier than that.
There is a pretty big climb up the trails, like Fromme, except steeper and looser. Make sure that you bring a snack and some water!
Beginner-Intermediate All-mountain : Mike, Sheldon
Intermediate All-mountain: Keiko, Bob
Advanced All-mountain: Richard, Marcus, Brian
Trails to be determined, but will probably include Triple Crown, Franks, etc.

I want to add to the description of the trails on Burke for those of you who have not ridden Burke. First of all the trails are very loamy, kinda like what the North Shore was like 20 years ago. It would be really nice for the trails to remain this way. If you are the type of rider who likes to drag your rear brake on steep down hill sections, I will be there to help you with this, as I am bringing my best cable cutters. ;D Please remember that all of your controlled braking comes from the front brake. Not sure if it is this way right now, but the bugs can be brutal, you may wish to bring bug repellant and ride with your mouth closed. If the bugs are bad please get your gear on fast, I won't be waiting for people to get their I Pods sorted out, well actually I will, but in side my head I will be saying bad things about you, if I am getting eaten. Lastly the climb is brutal and it takes around hour to get to the top. It's steep. Bring a good lunch. If the weather is good I may try for 2nd lap for those that have gas in the tank and if I have any as well.
Thanks Sheldon
Enjoy the ride!

See you there.
Brian
If we move it, the meeting time and all the groups will be exactly the same.
Please check back here tomorrow evening!
Just saying....
Karen.
There was quite a bit of agony leading up to this weekend: they were forecasting 25-35mm of rain! Whenever we have weather like this we re-evaluate where the ride is and adjust accordingly. Always a good idea to check the forum before the ride.
See you on Burke tomorrow.
Fun ride though!
